POWER 60/POWER 75(all levels) The signature class of 5 Boro Power Yoga. Open to students at all levels of practice. The class is based on the Baptiste Power Vinyasa style of yoga - an invigorating flow class of meditation in motion that will empower and transform you in body, mind and spirit. Learn to go with the flow, find your edge and practice at your own level. Explore your self as you grow through your practice by opening your heart, entering into your truth, freeing your mind, healing and strengthening your body. Power 60 is a 60 minute practice and Power 75 is a 75 minute practice.
POWER BASICS Whether you are new to yoga, are pre or post natal, recovering from an injury, or just want to slow things down and take it easy, this practice is for you. Special attention to yoga principles, alignment and technique. This class is open to ALL!
RESTORATIVE YOGA This class focuses on the parasympathetic nervous system - the feminine and receptive aspects of the nervous system. A gentle, juicy floor flow to begin to get you into your body..we won't even stand up..except for maybe one down dog..followed by moving deeply into some restorative poses..completely passive, held for 5 to 10 minutes each. REVIVE & RENEW A perfect blend to balance your practice! We begin with a power vinyasa flow and end with restorative poses. This class is open to all!
MODIFIED FLOW FOR CHRONIC ILLNESS/INJURY/PAIN This class is for those who are new to the practice, those that have years of experience and everyone in between! More specifically, this class is centered on people with injury, chronic pain and illness and those who want to learn simple modifications of yoga poses to deepen their practice and heal their bodies. We will break down poses in a flow sequence to make them more accessible, more understandable in your own body and teach how simple modifications can transform your practice, body and mind. This class will integrate different props, cues and modifications to serve those in better understanding how the practice can build strength after injury, aid in treating chronic pain and illness and awareness of how modifications can transform your practice and your life.
