COME DOWN & BE A PART OF OUR 2 YEAR ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION THIS MONTH!!!
NEW ADDITIONS/CHANGES TO THE SCHEDULE: Beginning this month, new visitors to studio receive 30 days of yoga for $30!! We also changed the names of the classes (shown on the schedule). The "all levels" class name has been changed to POWER 60 & POWER 75 which indicates the length of the class (60mins or 75mins). An additional REVIVE & RENEW class has been added on Wednesday at 5.45pm.
The studio is growing & so many new things are taking place! In the coming weeks, we will be moving to a computer check in system and adding changing rooms. In order to make room for growth, the mats that are kept in the practice room will be taken out. Unless you are a yearly or monthly card holder, you will no longer be able to keep your mat on site. Please remove your mat by May 15th. All mats that are not claimed by May 15th will be donated. In addition, all items in the lost & found will only be kept for 2 weeks. If you have left something at the studio, please check the lost & found, as all items will be donated on May 15th.

AFRO/MODERN DANCE SERIES WITH LARISSA continues in May - Saturday, MAY 4th & Saturday, MAY 11th 1pm - 3pm, & Sunday, MAY 19th 3pm - 5pm (with Live Drummer) - each session is $20 and all proceeds will be provided to Africa Yoga Project.
INTRO TO POWER YOGA WORKSHOP is BACK - Sunday, MAY 5th @ 12pm - If you are new to the practice of Power Yoga or if you have been practicing for a while, this workshop is for you! You will learn to go with the “flow” as you immerse yourself into the breakdown of the Baptiste Power Vinyasa style of yoga – an invigorating practice of meditation in motion that will empower and transform you in body, mind & spirit. We will explore the Journey Into Power sequence, including warrior postures, balancing, hip openers, backbends & inversions. You will explore your self as you grow through the practice by opening your heart, freeing your mind & strengthening your body! Cost is $25
MAY 9TH - FREE YOGA FOR ALL - 6AM, 10AM & 5.45PM. THE 7.30PM PRACTICE WILL HAVE DJ AND WILL BE BY DONATION (ALL PROCEEDS PROVIDED TO AYP) - CHAMPAGNE, SPARKLING CIDER & WATER WILL BE PROVIDED AFTER CLASS TO CELEBRATE!!
MAY 11th - 8.45am - Practice with Africa via Skype! - Practice will be led by Karen's mentee Sadick & will be by donation. Come down to support Sadick in his training and be part of a practice that will bridge our studio with Africa!!!
TAKE A PHOTO WITH PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER MYK JONES - SATURDAY, MAY 18TH - 12pm - 5pm - Strike your favorite yoga pose! Photo will be framed - Cost is $25 - all proceeds provided to Africa Yoga Project. You can also take a family photo or a head shot! Take advantage of this incredible opportunity for a photograph with a professional photographer and support a great cause!
MAY 19TH - 12pm - REST & DIGEST - RESTORATIVE WORKSHOP W/KIRA LEIGH - In this workshop, you will explore restorative yoga and be given valuable information on how to set yourself up and explore this simple, dynamic, wholesome and powerful practice which restores our greater sense of Self. It gives us permission to relax and establish a healthy connection with all parts of our being. Through the expansion, release and renewal we gather inspiration and wisdom from deep within. We become creative in establishing a healing pallet of tools that honor our greatest intentions on and off the mat. Most importantly, we treat our self as a whole, integrating and finding balance to the body, mind and spirit; all of which lead to a healthier, happier life. The group will share the experience in setting up the poses and then be lead through a restorative practice. Since we have props for 15 participants, SPACE IS LIMITED!! *** MUST RESERVE SPACE (NO REFUNDS UNLESS SPOT IS SOLD TO A NEW PARTICIPANT) COST IS $25 - THERE ARE NO DISCOUNTS OFFERED FOR THIS WORKSHOP.
